FOOD / RESTAURANTS

Angelo Betti Pizzeria
The best pizza in the country. Try their Pizza Crasciana and a Coupe Ba-Ba after…

Het Eethuisje van Delfshaven
Original Dutch ‘cuisine’. Cuisine? Well, Dutch food, real Dutch food. Wouldn’t call it cuisine, really, but good if you want to try.

In de Keuken van Floris
Not cheap, but a once in a lifetime experience. 8 or 9 courses, an evening full of culinary entertainment. One big space contains both the kitchen and the restaurant, you are literally in the kitchen!

FOOD / BREAKFAST / LUNCH

Het Hoofdkantoor / Man met Bril Koffie
THE best coffee in town, if you are REALLY into coffee. Nice cakes and sandwiches and the hipster place to be!

Dudok
I will point them out during the tour. The best appeltaart (apple pie) of the city. Fantastic lunch menu, too.

De Huismeester
Really nice sandwiches and a good atmosphere.

DUTCH SNACKS & SWEETS

Stroopwafels (syrup waffels), of course. Buy a hot one at the Market.

Kroketten (goulash croquettes). You can buy them everywhere, for example at the Kroketloket in the Markthal.

Zoute drop (salty licorice). Strange, but nice. Buy them at any supermarket.

Haring (herring)! Not for the faint-hearted, eaten raw. You can buy them at them at the Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Look for the red, white and blue flags, take it by the tail and let is slide in!

BARS

Proeflokaal Reijngoud
Great location, with lots of beers and fine food to go with it.

 Wine Bar Het Eigendom
If you really want to enjoy good wines. The food is also awesome!

Brewdog Outpost Rotterdam
A brewery in the center of the city. Have one of their beers, or a tasting of some small glasses to start with.

NIGHTLIFE

Comedy Club Haug
The
stand-up club in Rotterdam. Check out their English shows!

 Bird
For a night full of music. Check their agenda!

SHOPPING

The center of Rotterdam is a shopping heaven. No need to point you to a specific place, just walk around and be surprised.

MUSEUMS & ART

Museum Rotterdam ’40-’45 NOW
A nice museum to get an idea of what the 2nd World War did to our city.

Boijmans van Beuningen
Too bad my favorite museum is closed for renovation, but the collection is spread out through several museums close by. Visit Kunsthal, Museum Rotterdam and the Belasting & Douane Museum.
