Try the infamous apple pie at lunchroom Dudok (picture above), before heading down to the vibrant Witte de With street (picture below)

Lunch: Restaurant Dudok is by far the best place to enjoy apple pie and coffee. Although they also serve delicious sandwiches, soups and salads. Situated at the Meent, close to the Market Hall and shops.

Lunch: For delicious poke bowls, pancakes and cocktails, Nieuw Rotterdams Cafe offers it all and more! Located in the Witte de Withstraat, this place is very good for a delicious lunch.

Lunch: Located at one of the most picturesque places of Rotterdam, Lot & Daan is the perfect place to enjoy the old harbor. This restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere, with delicious sandwiches.

Lunch/Dinner: If you like multicultural atmosphere and food from the Middle East, Bazar is the perfect place for you. The restaurant is located at the Witte de Withstraat so you can enjoy a drink afterwards!

Lunch/Dinner: For the true Rotterdam experience, visit Hotel New York. The former headquarter of the Holland America Line is transformed into a restaurant where you can enjoy dinner, lunch and delicious high tea’s. Situated at the Wilhelminapier, you have a great view over the river!

Burgers: Ter Marsch & Co is Rotterdam’s household name for a best burgers in town! You can find this place in the middle of the Witte De Withstraat.

Drinking In Rotterdam

Pub/Outdoor Terrace: Cafe Reijngoud is a very nice place to hang out and enjoy a good beer. During the summer the terrace is opened and the atmosphere is very lively. Located at the vibrant Witte de Withstraat. 

Pub/Outdoor Terrace: With an amazing view over the old harbor, Kade 4 offers a stunning setting to enjoy a good glass of wine or beer. One of the most photogenic areas of Rotterdam!

Bar/Dancing: With its artistic vibe and delicious cocktails, NRC (Nieuw Rotterdams Cafe) is the place to be. At Saturday night they even open the dance floor! It is located in the Witte de Withstraat.

Get your best chocolates, perfumes, jewellery & accessories right under the city in the ‘Koopgoot’

Shopping Street: The Koopgoot, literally meaning ‘Shopping Gutter’ is a nice underground area where you can go for shopping. It is located at metro station Beurs.

Indoor Shopping Centre: Located in the south of Rotterdam, Zuidplein is the indoor shopping centre where you can find everything you need – from multicultural bars to the most famous clothes brands.

Museums

Top choice: The Wereldmuseum is a museum about people and offers a mirror of 160 years of collecting by Rotterdammers for Rotterdammers. It is located in a fantastic historical building with a view across the harbor.

Art Expo: The Kunsthal is one of Rotterdam’s cultural treasures. The museum is inspring in its architectural design, as well as in the host of art and photography exhibitions it continually puts on.

Museum: Dive into the port of Rotterdam’s history at the Maritime Museum. The museum is located in the oldest and biggest museum port of the Netherlands. Experience how the world port of Rotterdam started at this place, among historic ship and cranes.

Parks

City Park: One of the most charming spots in the city is Het Park bij de Euromast tower, designed in 1852 by Dutch architect Zocher and his son. They were inspired by the English country style. Perfect for a nice barbecue during the summer with a cold beer. Also a very nice place for several events.

Forest/Park: The Kralingse Bos is the biggest city park in Rotterdam with a gorgeous lake, where you can enjoy the sunset. Go for a run along the waterside, or lie back on the grass and watch the clouds drift by!
